I was super excited to do Lydia’s maternity pictures with a large family in Greer SC. I’ve photographed 3 of her babies including one of the two that came through the gift of foster care to adoption. In fact, big sister Zoey was one of the first 25 babies I ever had the privilege to photograph way back  in 2014.

Lydia had never done maternity photos, but knowing this was the family’s last baby so wanted to remember her pregnancy. In fact, this down to earth mama may have come to the studio in her favorite pair of pajamas and a full face of make up! It was amazing! One of the concerns that I often hear from clients with big siblings about booking a maternity session is “What will the kids do when they’re not being photographed?” This, ya’ll. They’ll stand in the backdrop playing with all the toys I hide until I’ve taken their images and bust out right before I focus on the couple.

However, the best benefit of a maternity session is that the big siblings become familiar with me and the studio BEFORE your coveted sibling picture. It also gives me time to create portraits of each individual kid as you’ll see below.
